This weekend was glorious in terms of weather. I was able to ditch my winter jacket and go to the bookstore in my Spring coat. I was a little saddened to hear the heavy rain fall on Sunday night, but I didn’t expect to wake up to snowfall this morning!
Alas, pictures of new necklaces will [...]

Final Standing of March Spendings: -$8.
Not too bad for someone who regularly spends $160/month on dining out!
Thanks to the March Challenge on Purple Pink & Orange I have realized how much money I’ve been spending on dining out. After trying to maintain a budget of $50 for eating out (this includes lunches, dinners, desserts, [...]
Non-existent Budget

I feel pretty guilty that I wasn’t able to sustain the $2 left in my recession food challenge budget until the end of March. The week started off really well– I made extra food for dinner, which became my lunch for the next day. The only issue was Thursday. I had some unexpected visitors and [...]
Overcast Days

Thanks to the chilly weather from last week, it’s been raining since Monday of this week. Due to the rain and clouds, I haven’t been able to take pictures of anything. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the weekend will warmer and less cloudy, as I have a handful of necklaces sitting on my table [...]
Fleur de Lis + insomnia = earrings?

I couldn’t sleep last night. It was extremely cold (what is going on these days? It’s been snowing, despite the fact that it’s the third week of March!) and I was restless. To cure the insomnia, I got up and pulled out my supplies. I ended up making a pair of fleur de lis earrings:

Metric – Fantasies

I am procrastinating. Again. Are you surprised?
Instead of making jewelry, I’m listening to the new Metric album that’s going to be dropping on April 14. I cannot wait! Metric is one of my all-time favorite bands. I listen to either Metric or Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton whenever I’m working on my crafts.
This is [...]
Sweet Tooth Cravings

I have the biggest sweet tooth of anyone you will ever meet. So big of a sweet tooth that I claim to have a dessert stomach separate from my “all-other-foods” stomach. (Someone once called me a cow for claiming to have multiple stomachs… I was not very flattered by that comment, to say the least.)
Taking [...]
Sick of Winter

I cannot believe it was still snowing last week. This is ridiculous! It’s already the second week into March! Where are the warm spring showers? Why aren’t there birds chirping? Why, Why, Why?
Thanks to wishful thinking, I’ve been working on some jewelry inspired by the warmer weather:
As for the Recession Food Challenge, my current budget [...]

Recession Food Challenge Update
Thanks to my mandatory weekly lunch outings, I have dug a little deeper into this month’s food budget. I spent $7 on a pita last Friday, which means my budget for this month nows stands at a grim $38. I’m not too sure I can last another 3 weeks on $38, but [...]
Chilly March Days

It’s already the end of the first week of March, and it’s still super cold outside! Actually, I lied. It was bearable today, but earlier in the week, I was bundled in 3 sweaters, wearing a neckwarmer and a scarf under my jacket. Insanity!
To cheer myself up, I’ve been making some bright colored earrings!
I also [...]
